Stoneleigh Cottage, Muker in Swaledale
Stoneleigh Holiday Cottage is based in the remote and beautiful village of Muker in upper Swaledale, close to the beginning of the River Swale. The village is situated approximately 20 minutes away from Reeth and Hawes.
Stoneleigh Cottage makes an ideal exploring location for the Yorkshire Dales, perfect for those walking, as both The Pennine Way and The Coast to Coast Walk pass close by. The area has walks of all kinds, suitable for everyone regardless of their fitness level.
If exploring the Dales by car then a visit to the nearby rugged valley of Arkengarthdale and the town of Hawes, famous for its Wensleydale Cheese are both worth a visit, both within easy reach of Muker.
Within the village of Muker there is a small village shop that supplies many basic essentials, an art gallery, the famous Swaledale Woollens shop, The Farmers Arms pub serving food daily lunchtime and evening, many bed and breakfasts suitable for short stays and the village is also the home of the traditional Muker Silver Band.
